A website menu has one very important job: help people find things. It does not need to be a treasure hunt with a tiny prize at the end.

LetLex Menus is a free Add-on Feature for LetLex WP Core. It adds visual icon choices, style-matching colours and dropdown controls to your WordPress navigation.

Small icons, useful company

Keep the words

Home should still say Home. An icon adds a visual cue beside a clear label; it should not make visitors guess.

Let the colour follow your style

Choose the active style’s accent colour for a coordinated look. There are other colour options when you need them.

Give links a sensible home

Group related pages together so your top navigation stays short and easy to scan.

Start with your links

Before choosing icons, decide what belongs in the menu. Start with the pages visitors need most. A short menu with useful labels beats a crowded one with every page you have ever created.

On LetLex, Home and Insights stay at the top level. Products opens a short list containing Core, Add-on Styles and Add-on Features. The two catalogues do the browsing work, so every individual add-on does not need its own menu link.

Then add a little personality

In the WordPress menu editor, expand a menu item and use the LetLex icon picker. A house works for Home, a palette suits Styles and a newspaper gives Insights a useful visual cue. Choose what makes sense to your visitors.

You can choose an icon’s colour and whether it sits before or after the text. Keeping a consistent position and colour treatment makes the menu feel deliberate. We love personality. We also love knowing where the button went.

Make room for everyone

Keep labels readable, avoid unnecessary nesting and check dropdowns with a keyboard and on a phone. The icons are decorative, so the written labels still need to explain the destination.

Menus is optional: it is not a requirement for every LetLex site. The current free add-on has been installed through Core’s native Add-Ons screen without entering a license. Public launch availability is still being prepared.
